Tip of the Day: Renew Car Battery Life with Epsom Salts!

The weather is cold and your car battery almost fails you, but you get it started! When you get home, dissolve 7 oz. of Epsom salts in 1/2 quart of boiling distilled water. Wait until your engine has cooled, remove the car battery and pour the solution into each battery cell. Shake the battery to distribute the solution. Then, slow-charge the battery for 24 hours and reinstall. You should be ready to go because the corrosion from the sulfate in your battery will break down due to the Epsom salts.
